It should be noted that after correctly predicting the winners of all eight match-ups in round two of the tournament, Ernie flexed his ice cream expertise muscle once again last week by guessing all four match-ups correctly. And let’s just say, he’s not shy about letting everyone here at the Dairy know it! Ernie is back again with his opinion on who will win this week’s Frosty Four match-ups.
MATCH-UP #1: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup vs. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
“If you asked me at the beginning of the tournament, I would have told you that these two flavors would be in the final round, but it looks like only one will make it to the last showdown. Truth is, I’m a big fan of both flavors. Have been for many years. But if I have to pick one to win this match-up, I’d choose Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. It’s okay Cookie Dough, you know I still love you!”
MATCH-UP #2: Tastykake Chocolate Cupcake vs. Rocky Road
“I’m really glad to see a pint-sized flavor like Tastykake Chocolate Cupcake still in the tournament. It really is a great flavor, which is why I’m picking it to win this week and advance to the final round. If it ends up winning the whole thing, I think I’ll have to make a case to our flavor development team to consider giving this flavor a full-sized container!”

Ernie, If you would have picked CPBC and CCCD to be in the finals, then they should have been in opposite brackets, so that they would have been able to make it to the finals. The committee needs some rework before next year to gett the pairings correct.

I’m not sure that I was on the same page as Ernie the past few weeks. I didn’t compare my selections with his although I love reading his opinions. This week however with only two choices I have to concur with his selections as we’re a match.
I can’t believe York Peppermint Patti didn’t make it to this round. I’m going to patiently wait until August when the flavor is due out ’cause I’m sure it will be a winner.

I’m not sure who the ultimate winner will be. The two flavors I selected sound wonderful but I must admit I stick to the light ice cream varieties and I’m not one for the mix ins. Their a bit too indulgent for me as I eat a lot of ice cream.

The choc peanut butter has to be a winner. Who can resist choc or peanut butter? But being from the Philly area, I love tastykake choc cupcakes (Send them to my son in Alaska) the decision of who will win is impossible

loved some of the ones who are out but I can still get them and enjoy. as for the frosty four, the peanut butter will take it all for Turkey Hill flavors.
Looks like most people love chocolate. I too love chocolate, but I like mine in Tin Roof or with coconut and nuts, although I can have it any old way.

I have tried several Turkey Hill flavors that I like—But, as I have mentioned before, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup is my favorite.

I’m not even a huge chocolate fan, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Tastycake cupcake flavor! I think it does indeed deserve a full size container! That and German Chooclate Cake are my fave chocolate flavors by TH!!!
Getting down to the wire is always a
tough call but you can’t go wrong with any flavor of Turkey Hill although Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup always has been a favorite of mine.
Guess I won’t be voting for the finals – some of us can’t eat chocolate and there are no non-chocolate containing contenders.
On another note it would be REALLY nice if TH would come up with more variety in the non-chocolate containing selections – Gingersnap was great BTW!

Although my all time favorites didn’t make it you can never go wrong with chocolate anything. Well, almost. One time I tasted chocolate covered garlic and I do not recommend it as a new ice cream flavor!

my York Peppermint Pattie didn’t make it but I like all the flavors featured, so I’ll enjoy them all: but not at the same sitting.
Out of the four left the only one I could eat (although I haven’t tasted it yet) is Tastycake Chocolate Cupcake as it does not have nuts, peanut butter or coconut oil in it. Having allergies really limits the flavors I can eat. Nonetheless, the ones I can I really enjoy. My granddaughter and I enjoy sharing Party Cake together. It is so festive and tasty too. Good old basic chocolate is also great….maybe a bitter or semi-sweet dark chocolate flavored ice cream might be interesting.

Thank you, whoever noted that TK Chocolate Cupcake only comes in smaller containers. I finally found it after going into Turkey Hill country twice in two weekends. Didn’t find it the first day, but with that new knowledge, I finally had a chance to try it. I must say, the person who estimates how many servings are in the container grossly over estimated.
