Whoever said you can’t eat ice cream all day long? Our love for ice cream always pushes us to try to incorporate the sweet taste into each of our daily meals. And chef Heston Blumenthal has made it easier for ice cream fans to do so, with the announcement of his newest wacky creation – ice cream meat pie – to be featured at his upcoming restaurant in London. It is not yet known whether the pie will be stuffed with creamy ice cream along with chunks of hearty meat, or filled with velvety meat-flavored ice cream. In this case, we’re not sure which would be better.
Known for his dishes that sound more like kitchen disasters, Blumenthal has earned rave reviews for his playful recipes. His creations allow ice cream lovers to enjoy the treat the entire day. Ice cream fans can have smoked bacon and egg ice cream for breakfast (pictured), which is served with caramelized French toast, a sweet and sour tomato and red pepper jam, and a rich caramel sauce. Crab risotto with crab ice cream makes a light lunch choice. And finally, a filling ice cream meat pie for dinner.
These unusual concoctions make us wonder: Would you try Blumenthal’s dishes in order to get your ice cream fix all day? If not, what ice cream creations would you make for each meal?

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
Not for me.
I like real ice cream- and I have had it for breakfast
I would try almost anything. Does not mean I would finish it.
I could eat ice cream for each meal, real ice cream that is. As soon as I read chunky meat pieces in the ice cream, yikes, that is not for me.
LOVE LOVE LOVE T.H. YES I COULD EAT ICE CREAM ALL DAY & EVERY DAY. BUT NOT GOOFEY DISHES. GIVE ME PLAIN T.H.RIGHT OUT OF THE CARTON.
I’m sure there are a lot of ingenious ways to incorporate ice cream into ALL meals (as witnessed in the above article); so yes I would eat ice cream for every meal.
for breakfast i’ll have egg nog flavored th ice cream, for lunch it will be th mint choco chip, and dinner would be coconut custard th ice cream…. what time is dessert….lol
I truly love ice cream and so does my husband. But I couldn’t eat it for every meal. I like to keep it as a special treat.
My mother-in-law says, eating ice cream is her cure for depression.

Sounds like a plan and worth every calorie!
yes! luv ice cream!! prob. only in summer though. too cold in winter.
I could eat icecream for each meal and have done so. It must be just ice cream. No meat,or veg.ice cream.
oh yes love ice cream
Ice cream should be served cold, while meat should be served hot. So how is this pie to be served?
I would definitely eat ice cream for every meal! When I was a kid my favorite book was a story about a little girl who ate ice cream for every meal– I wanted to be her sooooo bad. Wish I could remember the name of that book!
I would prefer to keep ice cream as a dessert after meals or a treat in the evening. That way after the meal you look forward to a nice dish of Turkey Hill ice cream. It’s light, non-filling, tasty, and enjoyable. It should be enjoyed at your leisure. It should complement your meal and not be part of it.
Although I love ice cream especially Turkey Hill I don’t think I could eat it as 3 meals. It would have to be just good old plain ice cream for me too. No meats or weird things added to it. I enjoy the flavor of the ice cream as it is.
I’ll pass on this one…too much of a good thing doesn’t make it special anymore. I enjoy icecream because it’s icecream not made to look like something else, or incorporated with something that doesn’t belong with it.
sorry, i love ice cream and could eat for all meals,i will still eat it the traditional way which is the best.
Hi Turkey Hill fans,
Yes I would eat ice cream for a meal.. I something do just that. I may have ice cream for breakfast or lunch. I just ove ice cream
Doesn’t sound kosher to me. I would not eat most vegetables, fish wrapped in ice cream. Ice cream one of the desserts that are a reward for the end of the meal. Put it on pie, cake, fruit, by itself etc. but not with meat and potatoes.
I’d certainly would give it a try, sounds sooooooooooooooooo good! Especially on a very hot and humid day. So this summmer would of been great to try to do so!
regular real ice cream can be eaten all day long, not that weard stuff.
Why bother with strange recipes that include ice cream? Just eat a bowl of your favorite flavor after or during every meal.
I would eat ice cream at every meal, but not in place of regular food. As a dessert it is fantastic and 3 times a day plus evening snack sounds good to me.
Why mess with perfection!!
Have you ever seen Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory? He did the same thing, but with gum.
I love ice cream and would and have had it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would try anything once. As the saying goes TRY IT YOU’LL LIKE IT.
I could eat ice cream for every meal. Probably cereal on vanilla ice cream for breakfast. When I was about 11 years old we toured the Kelloggs factory (yes the real factory) and they served everyone a Fruit Loop Sundae at the end of the tour. Yummmmm!
I would eat ice cream for every meal! MM MM Good!
Ice cream for dessert every meal? ABSOLUTELY!!!
I love T. H. ice cream. I don’t know if I would and meat or fish to it. (Especially the fish). I have eaten T. H. ice cream for my meals the whole day, and I looked forward to it. It was great.
I wouldn’t do it every day, but every once in a while is a special treat. Everyone should be able to enjoy Turkey Hill ice cream at least once a day.
Sorry meant to say “add” meat or fish to it
Don’t know of anyone who doesn’t like/love Ice Cream. Yes, Yes, Yes if I didn’t have to worry about my weight, I’d eat Ice Cream all day.
I would eat ice cream at every meal if it was the healthy thing to do. However, I would not eat ice cream mixed with meat.
Yes, but I would prefer not to make a habit of it. Vegetables do have their place!
Turkey Hill flavors only for me!
I love Turkey Hill ice cream and could eat it every day but as a dessert or snack not mixed in with meat or anything else. Everything has it’s place on the food chain!
My taste buds didn’t stir an inch reading this article. I could eat ice-cream all day, but would make my own “meals.”
Breakfast — Vanilla Bean w/ Blueberries
Lunch — Vanilla Bean w/ Crushed Granola
Dinner — Vanilla Bean w/ French Fries on the Side
Now that’s a daily meal:)
no, turkey hill is treat for our family,
I love ice cream and could eat it every meal, at least for a couple of days. I would have a bowl of ice cream for breakfast, a sundae for lunch, and a banana split for dinner. Probably have an ice cream cone for late night snack. Linda
How about waffles for breakfast with ice-cream on top with maple syrup..why get real exotic ?
I would eat it–if I get to choose the flavors.
I could eat ice cream with every meal with no problem. I may not go for some of the more exotic creations but ice cream at every meal is a delightful idea for me.
yes I can, I can eat ice cream in the morning or at lunch
I can eat ice cream on a hunch
feed me ice cream all the time
and I know I won’t go blind
I can eat ice cream at every meal
I think that would be a wonderful deal.
yes, I do –8 ice cream/Ensure milkshakes a day for 10 years now, due to illness !!!!! lucky me—all the ice cream I want!!!! wish we got more Turkey Hill flavors in the Detroit area !!!!! thanks
I have always thought any ice cream flavor was delicious, but I don’t think I could eat these.
Definitely!!!What better rway to start the day with icecream and strawberries on pancakes or waffles. My break would be more ice cream. How about a an ice cream cake for dessert and my never failing butter pecan ice cream with carmel topping. Wow! This sure would be heavenly.

When I was a child for a special treat on our birthday we were allowed to have ice cream for breakfast ( any kind especially those containing fruit who be appropriate )

One year I decided to do this on my birthday. I had a banana split for breakfast, a brownie sunday for lunch, and hot waffles with ice cream at IHOP for dinner. I think I overdid the lunch, so I was very full by the end of the day. I resolved never to do it again. But now, enough time has passed. I may do it tomorrow. But I would go with just a plain scoop of chocolate ic for lunch.
