They say ice cream is a “comfort food” – ranking right up there with macaroni & cheese and chicken noodle soup. With that in mind, we’d like to kick off our 12 Days of Ice Cream celebration with a prize that puts a literal spin on the comfort found in ice cream – the ice cream pillow.
The plush prize pictured above is made by Etsy seller Lollipop Pillows and is described thusly:
This pillow cover is made for a 14X14 pillow insert. Insert is included. The cover is made up of 100% burlap and each layer on the design is hand cut from Eco felt made from recycled plastic bottles. The back has an easy access envelope back. You have the option of choosing the white burlap (pictured above). If you don’t like burlap or felt, I can also make it from fleece for a softer feel.

We love Turkey Hill Ice cream. We eat it every night! My favorite right now is mint chocolate chip and we also like butter pecan. So I guess its a comfort food for us. Plus you get dairy (that’s my way of telling myself its OK). I’d rather exercise it off the next day than not have my sweet treat each night!
I must say I come from a small town near Lancaster where Turkey Hill is made, but am currently in a city distant from there and I still always choose Turkey Hill ice cream over any other competitor/brand!

As good as your regular Turkey Hill ice cream is, your Philadelphia style is much better. I am disappointed that you have discontinued the Neapolitan (Van-Choc-Straw) flavor variety in the Philadelphia style. Having real strawberries in the ice cream makes a world of difference! Your regular version falls far short, I am sorry to say. Pureed strawberry and beet juice just doesn’t do it!
I might also suggest a real pistacchio flavor to be added to your ice cream line.

My favorite food group is…can you guess….yes, yes, yes….it’s ice cream! I know that you may think it’s a subgroup of dairy but Turkey Hill cannot be assigned “subgroup” title. All kidding aside, I love Turkey Hill….especially the black cherry one. Bake a cake…put a layer in the bottom of a spring form pan. Soften the ice cream so you can smooth it on top of the layer. Put on the other layer…then freeze until solid. Frost with whipped cream frosting….delicious. I would love to have this pillow. Enjoy the holidays!

Ice cream is a wonderful comfort food 12 months a year, whatever the weather. My absolute favorite flavor is Turkey Hill Philadelphia Style Coffee. It is sometimes hard to find it in my area, but I am persistent and usually able to find it. My second choice favorite is Turkey Hill Columbian Coffee. These two flavors would be my choice all 12 Days of Ice Cream and throughout the rest of the year.
What a nice pillow to relax with while I indulge in my Turkey Hill!. Just purchased some yesterday and the cashier says Wow! I didn’t know they have vanilla, chocolate, and butter almond all together! Its usually strawberry.. I have to get myself one of these after I finish working!. I see them piled up in the supermarket (Giant Foods), and they don’t sell. When you had the peppermint it was extremely hard to get it as it always sold out immediately! I believe this is a very worthy comment from a customer and truthful one on top of it.

I am reading all of these posts, and reading about the favorite flavors———why don’t our stores carry them??? We have maybe six at the most—many times only chocolate, vanilla and strawberry!!!!! I mean, come on!!! And if they do get a new flavor, they raise the price—or put the basic flavors on sale and the good flavor costs more!! I have asked the store management, but get no satisfactory replies.
