12 Days of Ice Cream (Day 11) – Ice cream cone cookies

You know how some cookies and baked goods look so beautiful that you almost don’t want to ruin them by eating them? Of course, you end up eating them anyhow, because they’re as delicious as they are beautiful, and not eating them would be a horrible waste.

Today’s 12 Days of Ice Cream prize is one of those works of baked art. Etsy cookie artist Ladybug650 will custom-make 12 ice cream cone cookies in the winner’s choice of two colors for today’s gift (that’s her work above). These goodies measure about four inches tall and are made-from-scratch sugar cookies with handmade royal icing. The cookies are sturdy, with a soft interior and a sweetness provided mainly by the icing.

The treats, which sell for $28 a dozen, are baked fresh for each order, individually wrapped and heat sealed. One commenter from today’s entry will win this treat, along with some Turkey Hill Ice Cream so you can make some real ice cream cones!
