Turkey Hill Dairy’s history goes back more than 80 years, which means we can appreciate “the way things used to be.” That includes pitchers of iced tea on a hot summer day, root beer floats, and this month’s blog prize — the vintage ice cream scoop pictured on the right.
We purchased the scoop from an online seller, who guessed it to be manufactured sometime in the 1940s. The scoop measures six inches in length, with a handle that fits perfectly in your hand. It’s also got some nice weight to it — because things back then usually did.
We’ll choose one comment at random from all the comments left on the blog this month to receive this retro prize. We’ll also throw in a few containers of free Turkey Hill Ice Cream … because an ice cream scoop is no fun without some ice cream to scoop!
