Ultimate Holiday Recipe Contest Finalist #1: Apple Pie Ice Cream Squares

Posted by Turkey Hill Team on December 2nd, 2013

The wait is over and it’s time to unveil the four finalists in our Ultimate Holiday Recipe Contest! True to the contest’s theme, all four of the recipes you’ll see this week use our All Natural Ice Cream as a key ingredient. We whipped up each of the four finalist recipes and took pictures and will feature each of them here on the Ice Cream Journal over the next four days. On Friday, we’ll open up the polls to let you vote for the finalist who should take home the grand prize – a one year supply of Turkey Hill Ice Cream!

Apple Pie Ice Cream Squares

I looked at this and it sounds delicious. The picture looks great, definitely good enough to eat. So I am wondering is there any method here. Is this first because the Turkey Hill folks liked it the best? Did they think it was the least favorite? Is it totally random or is it the first because of the 4 finalists, it was sent first or may be last?

Looks and sounds delicious. I’ll wait to see the other ones.

  39. Ro says:

If you like apple pie, you will probably like this recipe. It is basically an apple pie with a layer of ice cream on top. I personally do not want to bake anything for an ice cream based dessert. So far my vote is with the brownie chocolate nut pops-which has no baking, and lots of layers of my favorite ingredients.

  40. Ada says:

This has traditional flavors-warm and spicy. However, I would prefer not to have to bake before laying on my ice cream.

  41. Lisa says:

That looks real good, I’ll make it ! I wish this was a Turkey Hill ice cream flavor…Apple Pie ice cream-YUM :)

  42. Bob Kessler Jr says:

I love anything apple so this would be a great dessert for me.

  43. Andy says:

Looking at all 4 recipes, I like the brownie-chocolate nutty- pops the best since they have all the flavors I love, without doing any baking. I also do not like fruit with my ice cream. But the others are creative…

  44. Joan says:

Looks like a terrific recipe. It’s really hard to choose. I really can’t make all the Turkey Hill ice cream recipes for Christmas day dessert, but would love to. Thanks for so many great ideas.

  45. Anthony says:

You could achieve the same end result by merely buying an apple pie, layering the top with ice cream and freezing it…For voting purposes, I do not find this to be as creative as the other recipes, especially the brownie pops.

  46. Marie says:

    Looks and sounds delicious.

  47. Betty says:

    looks great

  48. Dano says:

Oh man =this has got to be one of the tastiest sounding recipes ever. We have to try this soon… Thanks..

Seems like someone likes caramel…I think the apple slices cut into smaller bits would be better…BTW, the captcha response words are mostly unreadable.
