Which of these two Limited Edition flavors are you most excited to try?

April is an exciting month, not just because it ushers in a new baseball season (which is always exciting), but because it means FOUR new Limited Edition flavors will join the Turkey Hill Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt lineup. Today, we’ll offer a taste of two of those flavors. Stay tuned for a taste of the other two flavors on Monday.

If you’ve tried either of the two flavors featured in today’s entry, leave a comment with what you thought of them!

LIMITED EDITION CHUNKY PEANUT BUTTER

This flavor might sound familiar for two reasons. First, it’s a returning Limited Edition flavor, having made appearances in our lineup in 2012 and 2013. The second reason that you might know Chunky Peanut Butter is because its our 2013 Ultimate Flavor Tournament champion!

The flavor is described as “vanilla flavored ice cream swirled with praline peanuts and chunky peanut butter.” It was created with peanut butter lovers in mind, and it definitely delivers on that peanut butter promise!

LIMITED EDITION SWEET POTATO PECAN PIE

Unlike Chunky Peanut Butter, which is a Limited Edition veteran, Sweet Potato Pecan Pie is a BRAND NEW flavor in the Turkey Hill lineup. Sweet Potato Pecan Pie lives up to its sweet name with sweet potato ice cream and a pecan pie swirl.

Those who have tried our newest flavor have compared it to another popular Limited Edition offering — Pumpkin Pie. And as any Limited Edition fan will tell you, being compared to Pumpkin Pie is definitely a good thing!

Most excited to try the sweet potato pecan pie, as I have already had the chunky peanut butter, which is very good especially with hot fudge topping! I think of sweet potato pecan pie as a seasonal fall flavor, but I’ll give it a shot as I do like to try new flavors, however I always seem to prefer my long time favorites.

  4. Frank says:

Would probably try both, they each hit areas of interest.

  36. Jim in SOMD says:

“2 – 4 – 6 – 8, which flavor do we appreciate?” Well this is a little sneaky, as it asks us if we are more exited to try a brand new flavor over the top flavor for 2014. I would be very happy to try Chunky Peanut Butter right now. If we were closer to Thanksgiving, then Sweet Potato Pecan Pie would make more sense to be the current Limited Edition.

Bernadette – I couldn’t agree with you more! I’ve learned to never judge ice cream based on its name alone. For weeks, I refused to try the Gertrude Hawks Box of Chocolates. I kept imagining yucky cream filled chocolates. Lol! My son finally convinced me to buy a carton – it’s my absolute favorite ice cream flavor now!

  71. SWEET POTATO PECAN PIE!!! it MUST happen and be a thing!!! and i must get to try it!!!

  72. Norma says:

WHAT A SWEET DUET (A NEW DUETTO, PERHAPS?) I’LL BUY BOTH OF THEM, FOR SURE.

  73. MPJ says:

The praline/ peanut butter is a nice ice cream for warm temperatures-spring and summer-and the sweet potato pie is perfect for fall and winter. So why make it an either/or? Give us both! That way, we always have something to look forward to. YUM

  74. Brenda says:

    Chunky Peanut Butter

  75. Anita says:

Quite frankly, I am awaiting the next two…whatever. Turkey Hill
on sale in one of our major supermarket chains this week and I could have cried. Ready to stock up and felt so horribly disappointed because they had just six mundane flavors…two vanillas…two chocolate types…and two other sort of blah…when I wanted to buy a lot and have something new and interesting and exciting to offer. Oh woe is me….peanut butter and sweet potato just can’t turn me on in the Spring…try me again for these two flavors in September, October or maybe Nov.
