LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
On Friday, a camera crew from the Food Network show “Unwrapped” stopped by the Dairy to tape a segment about peanut butter – specifically about our Light Recipe Denali Moosetracks ice cream. They were here for about eight hours (once you’re here, you don’t’ want to leave!) with Ernie guiding the way and showing them the ins and outs of the ice cream making process.
The day started with some footage of our ice cream production line churning out a fresh batch of Moosetracks, including sampling some ‘Tracks right off the line. The Food Network crew also interviewed Ernie and Denali President Neal Glaeser. Below is a shot of Ernie (on the left) showing the camera crew how the flavor tank works (that’s where the base ice cream mix is combined).
As for when the Unwrapped episode will air, we’re still not sure, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
