Way back in February we asked everyone to send us their best photos of loved ones (human or otherwise) enjoying Turkey Hill ice cream or iced tea. The best photos would be featured in our annual Turkey Hill calendar. The response was overwhelming. After sifting through hundreds of submission, we were finally able to narrow it down to 13 finalists – one for each month and one for the cover.
A big thanks to everyone who submitted pictures. It wasn’t easy choosing the 13 featured images because there were so many great photos to choose from. We’ve had many themes for the calendar over the years, from recipes to artistic renderings of Lancaster County, but this one is one of our favorites. That’s because it’s a reflection of the people most important to us: our loyal customers.
We think you’ll be pleased with the 2009 calendar and we know you’ll like the photos we’ve chosen for it. To give you all a sneak peak at what’s in store, below is the fantastic image we chose for the cover of the calendar. It was featured here on the Ice Cream Journal several months ago, and it was submitted by Matt E. of Douglas, MA (that’s his daughter, Jenna).
If you’d like to receive the calendar (it’s free!) please call 1-800-MY-DAIRY or email our customer service department using the “Contact Us” feature on the website.

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
