The Ultimate Holiday Recipe Contest is back with a one-year supply of ice cream!

Posted by Turkey Hill Team on October 7th, 2013

Nothing beats a good recipe, except maybe a good recipe that uses ice cream as an ingredient!

That’s the delicious thinking behind our Ultimate Holiday Recipe Contest, which awards a one-year supply of Turkey Hill Ice Cream to one lucky winner. Each of our past recipe contests have had a theme (our last one was “Chocolate Overload”). This year’s theme is equally tasty. We’re calling it “All Natural Deliciousness.” Here it is in a nutshell:

You can create any recipe – cookies, cakes, drinks, or whatever you’d like – and the recipe should include any flavor of Turkey Hill’s All Natural ice cream as a key ingredient.

That’s it! You don’t even need to prepare the recipe or take a picture – just email the recipe, along with your name and address to before midnight on Sunday, November 24 to be entered to win the grand prize: a one year supply of Turkey Hill ice cream. At that time, we’ll choose our four favorite recipes (each of whom will receive a one month supply of ice cream!) which will be posted here on the Ice Cream Journal. Blog readers will then vote to determine the winner.

Feel free to submit as many recipes as you’d like, and don’t forget to have plenty of All Natural fun along the way!

My ultimate recipe is easy. I just write on my shopping list
“pick up 2 different flavors of TH Ice Cream”

  2. Ann King says:

Great idea, I will get on that right away. I surely could use a year’s supply of my favorite ice cream.

  3. alicelynne says:

I will get on that! Love your All Natural Ice Cream!

This is for anyone having a bad day.
Buy any frozen Belgian or frozen regular waffles.

Make frozen waffles according to the directions on the box (pop in toaster type, their easy)
Sandwich any flavor of Turkey Hill Ice Cream, that is special to you, between the waffles.
On top waffle, put cool whip or spray whipped cream, sprinkles and strawberries on top.
Eat and enjoy the rest of the day.

  5. An old fashioned “Frappe”. In a tall Ice cream dish, 1 scoop of Vanilla Bean & 1 scoop of choc. Nutty Moose Tracks. Put on a heaping serving of Choc.fudge, then plenty of “Wet Walnuts” and a good coating of Natural cherry, chunky jam. Finish off with freshly made whipped cream, and top it off with a Maraschino cherry. Then relax and enjoy & “savor the flavors”. Easy to make ! All to enjoy !!

  10. Terry Delp says:

I take Pecan Sandies and layer them in a baking dish. then
I spread softened TH ice cream (flavor of your choice)over the top about an inch thick. repeat with ice cream until you reach top of dish. Ending with ice cream. Sprinkle with raw pecan pieces and drizzle with chocolate or strawberry. Refreeze. When solid cut into squares and enjoy. Yummy

I don’t really “do” recipes, but I might concoct something for the contest…

I guess I will have to insure that I have tasted each of the All Natural flavors and then come up with a winning entry.

I will try to think of something to send.

  14. Sarah says:

I look forward to checking out the submitted recipes but doubt I will make any of them. I’m more of a cookie baker and like to eat my Turkey Hill in it’s natural state (sometimes right out of the carton).

OK here it goes. Turkey Hill vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt, warm apple pie filling and granola and a sprinkle of cinnamon. (sp).

This is what I thought about making:

Get or make a graham cracker crust.
Fill it with the ice cream flavor of your choice.
Cover the ice cream with Reese’s Shell (chocolate and peanut butter)).
When that hardens, cover with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
Sprinkle the top with chocolate sprinkles. If you so desire, you can use the multi-colored sprinkles or both.
