It all comes down to this! 32 flavors began the tournament five weeks ago, each one with high hopes of becoming the next Ultimate Flavor Tournament champion. But only one flavor can win the title, and it’s down to this week’s final showdown between Peanut Butter Ripple and Limited Edition Deep Dark Chocolate.
Which flavor will be the Ultimate Flavor Tournament champ? Your votes will decide! Cast your vote in the poll on the right and leave a comment below with which flavor you think will win. Remember, we’ll choose one comment at random from all the comments left on the blog during the tournament to win a FREE one year supply of Turkey Hill Ice Cream. Good luck, and may the best flavor win!
ERNIE’S ANALYSIS: This is it, folks. It’s been a crazy five weeks, packed with exciting wins and heartbreaking losses, and it all comes down to two flavors. And they couldn’t be more different. On one side, you’ve got a vanilla-based flavor packed with peanut butter. On the other side, you’ve got a chocolate-based flavor loaded with chocolate. Chocolate and peanut butter usually make a great combo, but in this match-up, they’re fierce freezer aisle opponents.
When breaking down this match-up, both competitors have their strengths. Peanut Butter Ripple is an Ultimate Flavor Tournament veteran, with at least one Frosty Four appearance under its belt. And it’s got peanut butter…and who doesn’t love peanut butter?
On the other hand, Deep Dark Chocolate is relatively new to tournament action. It appeared for the first time in last year’s tournament, but lost in the first round to Chunky Peanut Butter (which went on to win the tournament six weeks later). And it’s got chocolate…and who doesn’t love chocolate?
So who will win, the peanut buttery veteran or the chocolatey newcomer? I’ve got my own opinion, but at this stage of the game, I’m more interested in your thoughts, so feel free to leave a comment. In the meantime, I’m going to sample both flavors several times to see how they stack up!
