Introducing, “Just Goodies” (The best part of your favorite ice cream flavors…without the ice cream!)

Posted by Turkey Hill Team on April 1st, 2014

A few weeks ago, we mentioned a “big announcement” about a brand new product in the Turkey Hill Ice Cream line-up and we’re finally ready to reveal what that new addition is!

For many people, the “goodies” in the ice cream are the best part. For fans of those sweet ingredients, Turkey Hill is excited to announce a new dessert line-up called “Just Goodies.” The delicious pints will be filled with only the goodies you like most, without all of the ice cream that just seems to get in the way.

That’s right, we’re talking about pints filled to top with nothing but fudge…or caramel…or peanut butter…or cookie dough! It’s a goodie-lover’s dream come true!

The Just Goodies line-up includes five flavors – Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chips, Caramel and Fudge. Each one contains exactly the same type of sweet treats you might find in Turkey Hill’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Ripple or our All Natural Salted Caramel Ice Cream.

The best part about the Just Goodies line-up? You don’t need to keep them in the freezer! In fact, the Cookie Dough flavor is the only one that requires refrigeration. The others can be stored in your pantry, in your desk at work, in your locker at the gym, or in your nightstand for a late night snack.

Sure, you can add some actual ice cream to your bowl of goodies if you really want to, but why bother messing with perfection?

UPDATE: As many of you guessed thanks to the April 1 announcement date, “Just Goodies” was just an April Fools’ joke. That’s too bad, because some of these treats sounded pretty good, didn’t they?

funny that you should announce this on April Fool’s Day. Is this for real?

  49. Beth says:

Please don’t tell my Grandmother the real reason I want to visit is to enjoy the goodness of Turkey Hill Ice Cream. : )

  76. Paula says:

Sounds interesting! Can’t wait to find it at my store.

  77. Liz Ashley says:

Goodies without ice cream are NO Goodies!

  97. stephen croston says:

    vanilla guy

  98. Sherri Rosen says:

For the Hall of Fame it’s a toss up – the chocolate chip mint or the key lime. I’m glad my hardest decision is which one to buy (I hope the key lime is made a permanent part of the collection).

The caramel and fudge look and sound fantastic. Anything Deep Chocolate and fudgy keeps my concentration away from anything else that would ever want to try and wedge it’s way and sneak in to take my joy of dreaming about the caramel and especially the FUDGE making my dreams come true. Please let your GOODIES pints be real and not just an April Fools Day hopefull wish!!

Chocolate! Some of us are very allergic to Peanut Butter!

  123. Chuck Yatsko says:

I love the idea AND the new product that you have just release, HOWEVER……it concerns me the way the best tasting ice cream in the entire free world seems to be cast aside like a cheap suit! If not for the ultimate ice cream there would be NO “goodies” let us not forget! 😉

  124. Anne Engelbrecht says:

The new flavors look really awesome! This looks like a great idea. These are my favorite all-time blends. I’m looking forward to my “just desserts!” Thanks, Turkey Hill!

Sounds delicious! Is it available in stores yet because it’s at the top of my shopping list 🙂

  132. HELEN SAUL says:

  133. Jan says:

Just Goodies sounds like a good idea, but……I’ve been requesting for years & years to have “Just ice cream” in a couple flavors.
No one makes banana ice cream. Love Chunky Monkey but mostly for the banana ice cream. Love any flavors which has the peanut butter ice cream. But mostly the peanut butter ice cream. And, last but not least, love New York Style Fudge Chunk. But…mostly love the deep, dark chocolate ice cream.
    P L E E E E Z E…..Can’t we have some plain ice cream in the above flavors?

  134. I haven’t seen any of these in my Food Lion, got some today, of dark Chocolate & Valina, they seem to seel fst out of the peanut butter cup. many times, when I go to get it, they are out, as they was today.
I asked them several time to get Turkey Hill ice cream, & finally they did get it.

  135. Jan says:

P.S. to my first comment regarding plain flavors.
I know I mentioned some B & J flavors but was just using them
as an example as those flavors are so good.

  136. Gail L. Johnson says:

Well this TOPS it All! Can’t wait to try them!

  137. This is one ‘idea’ that makes me excited about being an April Fool!

  138. My local Food Lion store seems to be retaining Turkey Hill ice cream in their product offerings, but Turkey Hill iced tea and lemonade products are now on closeout and in queue for permanent removal. I am so sad! 🙁

  139. Jeanette Lippy says:

  140. Barbara Naia says:

I am already on Turkey Hill Website, However more is better. My daughter lives with me and its who gets to the freezer first. Ha Ha, now I can hide mine away and still share hers, Heeeeeee, Thanks Turkey Hill. Keep them coming.

  141. Marion says:

I hope you are not serious. Certainly ice cream never “gets in the way”. And the last place you should be storing calorie laden food is in your gym locker! My, oh, my!

    April Fools

  148. Shelley says:

All these new flavors look great but how about doing one that is no sugar added for those of us who are diabetic. I am partial to extra dark chocolate so how about that one?

  149. Maggie says:

    Can’t wait to try them!

  150. Nora says:

  151. Pat says:

    April Fool!!!

  152. Pat says:

    Just Caramel please

  153. The Fudge does sound good. But I want to taste some Limited Edition Deep Dark Chocolate. Dark Chocolate is suppose to be good for you.

  154. Susan Dill says:

I love most of the flavors, but am glad to see that the Deep Dark Chocolate is in the lead.
I love just about anything chocolate.

  155. Bob Kessler Jr says:

I don’t think that I could eat Just Goodies by itself. It would be too much flavor. I would have to mix it with some Turkey Hill vanilla flavor ice cream. Bring on the Just Goodies.

  156. Jane Bellmyer says:

Bahahahahaha! Go ahead…see who falls for this one. April Fool’s Day y’all

  157. Cheryl says:

Very hard to choose between the two …. so we pulled from a hat!!!

  158. Cath T says:

    April Fool!

  170. Gloria says:

Limited Edition Deep Dark Chocolate – on my bucket list!

  171. My favorite flavor is Peanut Ripple and any non diet tea. I use your tea more than water

  172. Marie says:

Sounds good and delicious. Would be great to have additional toppers. Too bad it is your April Fools joke.

  173. Larry Zutavern says:

    Definitely is different and exciting

  174. Andrea says:

Wonder how many went to the store 4/1 to buy “Just Goodies”! Actually it is a good idea to distribute this product as ice cream topping. Then if all you have is vanilla, everyone could choose their favorite addition.

  175. Wendy Connelly says:

If this isn’t an April fools joke they look super rich.

  176. Lydia says:

  177. As soon as I saw chocolate, I knew I would pick that one! But Limited Edition Deep Dark Chocolate sounds AMAZING and now I want to go get some!! I love Turkey Hill ice cream!! The price is always right and the ice cream is far better than the other brands!!

  184. Turkey Hill Team says:

As many of you guessed thanks to the April 1 announcement date, “Just Goodies” was just an April Fools’ joke. That’s too bad, because some of these treats sounded pretty good, didn’t they?

  185. Peanut better never goes out of style, no matter what kind of ingredients are used in the incorporation of a dish. And to have it thrown together in a super delicious ice cream dish is just awesome!!

  186. Pam says:

A sense of humor is a wonderful thing.

You had me going…and I was ready to buy the fudge and cookie dough! bummer!

  189. Nina R. Simmons says:

But, I don’t like peanut butter except in ice cream and peanut butter pie. My husband eats it by the spoons full. Gags me like that.

  190. Helen E Moresi says:

My vote is for my long time favorite Peanut Butter Ripple (no offense Vanilla Bean, I love you too). I am not a fan of dark chocolate in any form. Dutch Chocolate, yes; milk chocolate, yes; but dark chocolate, NO.

  191. Larry McBride says:

You have the best choices of ice cream in the world…I’ve had
ice cream in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and England…AND…
