Aug-03-PSRCIced tea is a refreshing drink all by itself, but it’s also a tasty ingredient in several equally refreshing summer beverages. That’s the inspiration behind our Pure & Simple Recipe Contest.

The challenge is simple: Create your best simple recipe using any of our new Pure & Chilled Half & Half Country Club drinks. All recipes are required to use FOUR OR FEWER ingredients, one of which should be Pure & Chilled Country Club Half & Half (in any flavor).

Five finalists will each receive a one-month supply of iced tea. The winner, as determined by a public vote on the Turkey Hill blog and Facebook page, will receive a one-year supply of iced tea.

To inspire you, we’ll post recipes on our blog and Facebook page throughout August. Examples will include a Pink Lemonade All Natural Gelato Float, Basil Peppermint Half & Half and Peachy Peach Strawberry Half & Half.

To enter your recipe, email your name, address and recipe to social@turkeyhill.com before August 31. Good luck!

Put some blue berries in a blender and then add the Peach Half & Half. Blend well, then scoop some Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean Ice Cream into a tall glass and pour the blue berry peach concoction over the ice cream and enjoy the day.

My family likes pure peach chilled half and half with blueberries mixed in. We mash the blueberries, add the peach and of course the iced tea. You can put a garnish of a slice of peach or toss in a couple blueberries and see if the kids can catch them using only a straw

I JUST DO A BASIC DECAF TEA WITH A SPRITZ OF LEMON. I BOIL WATER AND ADD IT TO THE TEA BAGS THAT ARE IN THE CONTAINER. THEN I GRADUALLY ADD COLD WATER TO IT TO FILL CONTAINER. I THEN LET IT SIT FOR AWHILE TO BREW BEFORE PUTTING IT IN REFRIG TO GET COLD.
NOTHING FANCY BUT A NICE SIMPLE COLD DRINK IN HOT SUMMER.

I am currently enjoying refrigerator tea–fresh mint and old teabags, no heat required. But I like Turkey Hill too.

P.S. the numbers in the box allowing me to submit comments could be mistaken for other numbers. On a slant is really hard to read too. Those of us with less perfect vision would appreciate unslanted bold numbers to key in, it wouldn’t make us fake submitters. Thanks.

    Here’s my four ingredients

    Classic half and half
    Lemon-lime soda
    Lime sherbet
    Fresh squeezed lemons

  50. Ann Marie Stelma Graff says:

Clasic Half and half mixes my two favorite flavors in one drink, so to make it even better, I mix Pure & chilled Classic Half and Half and frozen concentrated lemonade in a blender with a scope of lemon or oragne sherbert, add a slice of lemon and orange and serve. A great refreshing smoothy.

  51. Nicole Flynn says:

Here is my recipe. I tried it out yesterday. Start with a whole lemon skiced, it can be peeled, but diesnt need to be, place half in bittom if a tall glass. Next, pour 10oz of Turkey Hill half and half Lemon Iced tea into the glass. Take 4 frozen strawberries and several ice cubes and blend in blender (Medium speed or lower suggested), add to the glass and top with the remander of the lemon. I suggest drinking with a straw, even better if you can shake up this mixture to help distribute the taste, but not nessesary as it tastes great as prepared.

  52. Teresa froemel says:

Half n half tea/lemonade, turkey hill sherbet, turkey hill vanilla, chilled 1liter bottle of Sprite. Using a butter knife, slice down the center of each container of ice cream. Remove half out of each container, place in large bowl.add in half bottle of Sprite and half of the pure chilled half n half tea. Slowly stir til it is the consistency of a smoothie. Do not use a smoothie machine. Great punch idea as well, I’ve made at both bridal and baby showers. Great summer refresher. Can also be made into an adult cocktail punch.
