Ultimate Flavor Tournament (Round One): The final batch of round one match-ups are here!

The last four match-ups of Round One of our Ultimate Flavor Tournament have arrived! After this week, the field of 32 retired flavors will be narrowed down to 16 based on your votes and one of those flavors will eventually win the Ultimate Flavor Tournament and be brought back from retirement to join the Turkey Hill line-up as a Limited Edition flavor.

Cast your votes in the polls on the right. Don’t forget to also leave a comment to be entered to win a ONE YEAR SUPPLY of ice cream! We’re also posting match-ups on our Facebook page, so follow us there and cast your votes for another chance to win the grand prize.


Snicker Doodle Dandy vs. Southern Lemon Pie

SNICKER DOODLE DANDY (1996-2000) – Cinnamon ice cream with snicker doodle cookies and swirls of cinnamon caramel

SOUTHERN LEMON PIE (1991-2015) – Tangy lemon ice cream with swirls of whipped marshmallow and shortbread pieces


Sticky Bun vs. Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

STICKY BUN (1997-2000) – Pecan sticky bun pieces and cinnamon caramel swirled throughout cinnamon ice cream

STRAWBERRY RHUBARB PIE (1991-2015) – Sweet strawberry ice cream with swirls of strawberry rhubarb and shortbread pieces


Swiss Almond Latte vs. Tiger Tracks

SWISS ALMOND LATTE (1998) – Dark chocolate covered almonds mixed throughout vanilla coffee flavored ice cream

TIGER TRACKS (1997-2000) – Vanilla ice cream swirled with orange sherbet and melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chips


Tin Lizzie Sundae vs. Wild Blueberry

TIN LIZZIE SUNDAE (1991-1995) – Our original vanilla ice cream with caramel fudge and a large measure of choco peanuts

WILD BLUEBERRY (1995-1997) – Wild blueberries nestled in a bed of vanilla ice cream and blueberry swirls

  23. I must of been hiding under a rock when all these flavors came out! I never heard of any of them. It’s hard to choose, I’ll go with Strawberry Rhubarb.

    I agree with some of the others,, I never heard of any of these flavors before but I sure would be willing to TRY any & all of them! Specially the Tin Lizzie Sundae! Sounds like Tin Lizzie got replaced by Tin Roof Sundae,, which is my all time favorite!

    I love strawberry rhubarb. I make home made strawberry rhubarb sauce…yum yum yum. I adore strawberry rhubarb pie and I would absolutely love strawberry rhubarb ice cream. I think that might even beat out mint chocolate chip for me.

    Swiss Almond Latte, love dark chocolate and almonds. dark chocolate was not overly popular in the late 90’s as it is today.

    Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. All the Way. Just ask my 14 year old son who never had the pleasure of Turkey Hill Rhubarb Pie but who knows of my obsession [buying all available ice cream in surrounding supermarkets and writing Turkey Hill a passionate letter when it was retired :-)]and researched the ice cream… which led him (and me) here.
    Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. Best. Ice cream. Ever.

    I guess I’ll go with the Southern Lemon Pie, Strawberry Rhubarb, and Tin Lizzy. I don’t like coffee flavored anything, nor do I like orange sherbet, so no vote from me on that match up. With not even one chocolate choice this round, it’s my least favorite so far.

    Wild Blueberry sounds particularly intriguing to me – blueberries are hardly ever utilized in ice cream these days!

    I am so excited to see which flavors move on. In todays I would love to see The Lemon Pie. I love the shortbread pieces in it but even more so, It’s a light and refreshing ice cream. But I have to say above all it’s the Chocolate MALT Chip for me. I hope, I hope, I hope it goes on.

    Honestly, I’ve never seen nor tried any of those flavors, but they sound so inviting and I’m looking forward to trying any of the flavors that end of winning.

    We moved here in 1998 and Turkey Hill has become a favorite in our family, we have so many favorites. My husband is looking forward to the Dark Chocolate Caramel Espresso.

  90. How come there are Never new flavors in the All Natural line. I miss having Strawberry Ice Cream because most brands have additives that I am allergic to.

    They all sound delicious. However, I would have to choose Wild Blueberry. My husband of 52 years LOVES LOVES LOVES Turkey Hill and anything blueberry. Therefore, I would choose the Wild Blueberry. Turkey Hill, Blueberry and my Husband—perfect together!!!!!!! Who could ask for anything more???

  104. I also missed a lot of these retired flavors, don’t know how, but I did. I’m a fool for cinnamon ice cream and anything with caramel. I think you should bring back a lot of these old flavors in place of what’s in the stores today. We all get tired of the same old, same old, we want some of the old old! The store I go to doesn’t always get the special edition flavors, so I miss out on them. I missed out on the chocolate malted flavor last year, which really annoyed me! My favorite flavor of what’s out there today is the Stuffed Double Cookies and Cream, it really put’s Cookies and Cream to shame! Also, I think we need a salted caramel flavor! Love, love, love Turkey Hill!
